Where the label started

U2SKIIN began in 2019 with a pair of cotton pyjama bottoms and an argument about heating. One of us kept the bedroom at fifty-eight degrees and slept under three blankets. The other kept it at seventy and slept under a sheet. Both of us owned the same fleece pyjamas, and only one of us could wear them.

That is the whole idea behind the range, and it has not changed. Sleepwear is not sorted by season. It is sorted by how warm the room is when the light goes off. A fleece set in a warm bedroom is a bad night. A cotton set in a cold one is a worse one.

How a piece gets onto a shelf

Someone in the workroom sleeps in it for a fortnight and washes it four times. Then everyone argues about three things: where the waistband sits after an hour on a sofa, whether the cuff still holds after the fourth wash, and whether the top rides up when you turn over. Colour is decided last and settles nothing.

What survives joins the U2SKIIN lineup with its fabric printed on the card. Fabric first, because it decides more than the cut does: cotton breathes and creases, fleece traps heat and eventually pills at the cuff, knit stretches and gives back a little less each year. None of that is a flaw. It is what those fibres do, and knowing which one you are buying is most of the decision.

What we did not build

There is no thermal underwear here, despite the name people expect from it. Nothing on these shelves is a base layer, nothing is meant for sleeping outdoors, and nothing claims to wick moisture during exercise. The pieces are for a bed, a sofa and the ten minutes between the shower and both.

We also do not sell a system. There is no capsule to complete, no set that only works with its matching robe. A pyjama bottom from one shelf and a tee from another is a perfectly good pair of pyjamas, and most people who write to us describe exactly that.

What this catalogue adds

• A page for every size of every colour, each with its own figure and its own row of sizes.

What we leave alone

Fibre percentages, care instructions and measurements come from the label sewn into the garment, and each page carries the ones its own label states. A rating belongs to the piece it sits on. Sizes and colours of one style share a pool of reviews at our retail partner, so adding them up across a style would count the same review many times.

Prices move. We refresh them in batches on a schedule and print the date of the last batch on the prices page. A size with no current figure loses its page until the figure comes back, and a colour you saw last month may therefore show fewer sizes today.
